Sitara Masilamani – Miss Carmel By The Sea
Born in Chennai, India, Sitara and her family moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 2003 where her mother established an advanced medical aesthetic practice and raised two daughters. After attending Tulane University for two and a half years, she took a break from business school to focus on her passions. Since moving back, she has served at a cajun/creole inspired restaurant, bartended at an EDM nightclub, and modeled for a Target campaign in Joshua Tree. Sitara hopes to one day become a creative marketing director, develop her own personal brand, and design a line of cropped tops inspired by Indian fashion.
Kimberly Marquez – Miss Fresno
Kimberly is a on-air radio personality and radio producer. She is also an actress, a model and spokesmodel. Kimberly is passionate about youth empowerment. She is very involved in her community and has partnered with organizations, such as Fresno Parks and Recreation, Reading Heart, H.O.P.E Coalition, and The Poverello House. Kimberly started the “Lead With Love” movement where she encourages young leaders to embrace self-love and help others do the same.
Dr. Princess Adim – Miss Hollywood
Dr. Princess Adim was born in Nigeria. She moved to the US with her family in her teens. Completing her Bachelor’s in Boston and Doctorate, in Pennsylvania. Since her move, she has worked hard to become a Dr of Pharmacy at 22, co-founded a health startup at 23 and has been featured as a model during LA Fashion Week. She is an entrepreneur, fashion model and volunteer, who is passionate about advocating for inner city high schoolers, interested in joining the health profession, receive internships and academic opportunities that are often lacking. As someone who received and benefitted from such programs, Dr. Princess is happy to be giving back to the same cause that helped her while in school.
Amulya Chava – Miss Irvine
Amulya is a senior at Portola High School and in addition to taking honors classes, she is interning with an insurance company called Global Benefits Group. Amulya is also an ambassador for the Wounded Warrior Project Organization and advocates for helping injured veterans. In her free time she enjoys baking healthy cakes and desserts with her mother. Amulya wishes to attend law school after college to achieve her dream of becoming a civil rights lawyer.
Manju Bangalore – Miss Los Angeles
Manju Bangalore is a physicist, actor, and the founder of Operation Period, a youth-led, menstrual health nonprofit that provides advocacy, education and services in the U.S. and India. She has worked at two NASA centers on spacecraft propulsion and display design, as well as in the White House on science policy under President Obama. She placed as a semifinalist in Miss Oregon USA in 2017 and in the top ten of Miss World America in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, hiking, and cuddling with her puppy, Murphy
Amaya Duncan – Miss Pacific Jewel
Amaya is a sophomore at Scripps College where she is pursuing a degree in Media Studies in hopes of one day working for Disney. After being part of the first class of Miss Teen World America National Finalists in 2017, she is excited to return to the Miss World family and have the chance to represent her state. For her Beauty with a Purpose project, she would like to continue the work she started at her high school and expand sexual violence education and prevention to high schools across the state.
Shelby Howell – Miss San Diego
Shelby is a 19-year-old who is achieving her goals one by one. Despite being bullied and told she would never get anywhere in life, Shelby has become a varsity lacrosse player, a professional model, and an advocate for routine fetal echocardiogram‘s. After losing her brother to a heart defect, she wishes her family could have been more prepared for the loss. If every pregnancy required a fetal echocardiogram her family would have known what to expect. Shelby believes that every woman deserves to be physically and mentally prepared if there is a chance of losing their baby.
Alanna O’Brien – Miss San Francisco
Alanna is currently working on her Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling at Liberty University. She is an enthusiastic advocate for the Mental Health community and is aspiring to receive her Doctorate degree. Alanna is currently pursuing this degree, so she can be of service to those in need of mental healing. When Alanna is not studying, you can find her meditating on the beach with her green tea in hand! Alanna believes you can achieve great happiness through keeping your mind, body and soul balanced and healthy.
Emmy Rose Cuvelier – Miss Toluca Lake
Emmy is a graduate of Iowa State University, a performer, and a business owner. She adores Disneyland and runs two Disney inspired companies, where she makes magic every day for children and adults alike. Her favorite part of her business ventures is giving back through her charitable program, Mermaids & Miracles, where Emmy has raised over $15,000 for children with critical illnesses by hosting “Princess Party” fundraisers across the country. When she’s notbeing a mermaid, you can find her acting, singing, teaching English to Chinese speaking students, or hanging out with her family and her dog, Edison.
